I hold a UK passport and I understand that that entitles me to stay in Vietnam for 15 days at maximum without a visa. However, the trip I am planning involves me staying for 9 days beyond that. (Arthur from the United Kingdom)

Dear Arthur,

Regarding your case, you are highly recommended to apply for Vietnam visa before traveling to Vietnam.

As you know, Vietnamese Government has recently released a new policy of granting free Visa for UK passport holders for maximum 15 days stay in Vietnam. However, your stay in Vietnam is planned to last for more than 15 days. Therefore, it’s better to you if applying for Vietnam visa in UK right from the beginning before your trip as the visa extension process is currently very complicated and its fees is costly.

In order to apply Visa to Vietnam, you are offered two options: Applying online Vietnam Visa (Vietnam Visa on arrival service) from UK or Obtaining fully-stamped visa at Vietnam Embassy in UK.
